About

bestfriendsMy name is Jodie Kelley.  I live in Snohomish, WA. I first became interested in Dalmatian rescue after hearing the horror stories in the aftermath of the 101 Dalmatians movie.  My own Dalmatian had different ideas.  She was interested in being the only dog in the house, even though she wasn’t the only dog in the house.  I had to settle for rescuing her from the many predicaments she found herself in.  When I couldn’t save her from the ravages of time, I consoled myself by donating money to rescue groups.  After we adopted Harley, I felt it was my calling to provide a retirement home for old Dalmatians in need of one, as well as a transitional home for Dalmatians who are waiting to find a permanent home.  Simply put, the easiest way to mend a broken heart is to think about others, and do for them.

Around here, we let sleeping dogs lie!

I can’t save them all by myself, so I am looking for like minded individuals who would be interested in fostering Dalmatians in need, and for people who are looking for a Dalmatian to adopt.  My original plan was to concentrate on the Puget Sound area, but I’ve since learned that the problem extends across Washington, Oregon and Idaho, so I’m asking anyone who has an interest in Dalmatian rescue to visit http://DalmatianRescueofPugetSound.org.
